We travelled from the Four Seasons Maldives Kuda Huraa (@fsmaldives) to the Four Seasons Maldives Landaa Giraavaru via sea plane. The Four Seasons Maldives offers packages for any of their guests who are interested in combining their two properties into their Maldives stay, and we think that doing that is so worthwhile as both luxurious resorts are beautiful and have their own unique qualities that you can enjoy.
Our accommodation was the very private Garden Villa, which had its own large pool that was in line with the size of the villa. The villa’s grounds were so big that we almost felt like there was too much space for just the two of us. The Four Seasons brought a little bit of Bali to the Maldives by giving us a floating breakfast and when we were full, we used our own beach front access to run to the shore. Because we never saw our neighbours, it felt like we had a small part of the island all to ourselves.
The Sea Villas weren’t open at the time that we stayed but we did get to spend an afternoon viewing them and shooting in one. The Sea Villa was lovely and if given the choice, we would probably stay at the Sea Villa rather than the Garden Villa, but that’s just a preference choice. Some people prefer beachfront access, some prefer being over water.
Their beach is the kind of Maldives beach that you dream about. There’s a part of the beach where the sand curves and stretches out to make a long section that eventually disappears into the Indian ocean if you walked to the end. Very beautiful and picturesque.
There are plenty of water sport activities that you can do at the resort along with exciting excursions that you should ask the front desk about upon check in, but whatever you do, you must catch the shark feeding at night. It’s quite a sight as you see how many reef sharks appear.
The 5-star resort is on quite a large island. To get around the resort you use bikes, unlike the other Four Seasons Maldives property which was small enough that you could walk everywhere. The resort’s island had a bit more of an untouched vibe with so much natural vegetation present.
Despite only being at the Four Seasons Maldives Landaa Giraavaru for less than 36 hours, we were spoilt and pampered and felt like we ate so much in such a short space of time at their restaurants. We had a highly enjoyable and relaxing stay at this beautiful resort.
Four Seasons Maldives Discovery Centre
The Four Seasons Maldives (@fsmaldives) properties are in line with the prestigious hotel brand that we love and admire so much. Both of the Four Seasons Maldives resorts are big believers and activists in conservation with marine discovery centres set up on both islands. We were lucky enough to be able to visit both of the Four Seasons resorts in the Maldives on this particular trip and see first-hand the fabulous work they’re doing to rehabilitate wounded turtles to either the wild if they’re healthy enough, or to a loving home.
