Koza Caves Cappadocia Review

We had the most magical morning of our time in Cappadocia at Koza Caves Hotel.

We stayed in the King Suite Room, a room that had been carved out in a real fairy chimney with views from the window of Goreme. The King Suite reminded me of something a hobbit from Lord of the Rings would stay in. It was fancy and very cosy. We had our own living room, a bathtub and stairs that led to the second story bedroom. The bedroom had small little nooks to hang your clothes.

Adjoined to the bedroom was our own private terrace that we could access from a small door fit for a fairy. The King Suite Room’s terrace had a connecting wall to the main terrace that was small enough to hop over, which was very handy at sunrise.

The main public terrace of Koza Caves is one of the most instagrammable spots in Cappadocia. It is the highest terrace in Goreme and they have decorated it beautifully so that you have an aesthetically pleasing picture. The terrace is only accessible to hotel guests and is quite large and full of angles that getting a picture without anyone else in it is quite easy.

One of the other things that we loved about Koza Caves was their breakfast spread. A really nice buffet spread with Cappadocian delicacies. My mouth waters remembering the little golzemes – a grilled pastry filled with cheese. So delicious.

Staying at Koza Caves was such a dreamy experience. To be able to come out of our room onto our own private terrace and see the sunrise painted sky peppered with balloons was surreal.
